Schlock’s Blogs

2011 is the Chinese Year of the Rabbit. Which suits us fine, because any excuse to use Alice in Wonderland illustrations is a good one.

As 2011 hatches freshly on the horizon, a burpy and hungover Schlock contemplates a year – and indeed decade – past, in a bumper edition to ease (or exacerbate, as the case may be) those post-holiday blues.

First off, as the dregs of the festive season trickle around us, Peter celebrates some of its best moments, as he enthuses about MADC’s Christmas Panto.

Teodor chooses to stay indoors with a slightly unconventional – but heartwarming as they come – movie of choice.

Meanwhile, Daniel selects one of the highlights from the past year, looking at indie role-playing game Space Funeral.

Marco gives a long, hard look at the 2010’s pop-cultural carcass and chooses a few select cuts.

Finally, Noel short-circuits his skepticism of ‘best of’ lists by, erm, writing one himself, and extending all the way to the next decade.

We’d be more than happy to hear your takes on the last decade, and whether you agree with how the Schlockers themselves presented it. Stay with us next week, as our flash fiction takes a decidedly seasonal turn…
